Escaping from screen addiction is vital — and possible!

Electronic media use is like ‘electronic cocaine,’ says Dr. Peter Whybrow, a neuroscientist at UCLA.

Mary Catherine Liscinski is a seasoned speaker for live events, radio, television, and podcasts. She shares with your audiences about both the dangers of excessive screen time AND the practical ways to help yourself or your family escape the grip of screens, simultaneously healing what screen time has damaged.

What sets her apart is her research-based solutions for digital addiction that heal the brain, body, and relationships from the damage caused by too much screen time.

Soooo.... is screen addiction a "thing" ?

Your audience didn’t sign up for this challenge, but many families are facing the unexpected fallout from excessive screen use. Social media, video & computer games, and the constant barrage of videos and ads take a toll on kids, teens, and adults.

  • Teenagers with “zombie face” — that completely blank face that we’re seeing everywhere these days
  • Kids who don’t take interest in anything (except computer games) because they don’t get the same dopamine hit that comes from media
  • Depressed, reserved teens who might even be facing suicidal thoughts
  • Anxious, uptight parents who turn to screens even when they wish they wouldn’t

Imagine a child who is free from screen addiction.

Can you imagine what it would be like to “get your child back” if they’re affected by screen addiction?

If your child or teen is always “glued to a screen” then you probably wonder what it would be like to have…

  • … A child who engages with people around him/her.
  • … A confident teen who finds interest in many activities.
  • … Teenagers who thrive without anxiety, depression, or boredom.

Digital Addiction is a “thing.” If you’ve been wondering about a way out for yourself or a loved one, take heart! Recovery is possible, and help is available.

Mary Catherine Liscinski has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2011. During her work with families, she realized the pit of screen addiction and saw the dire impacts of depression, anxiety, lethargy, and family arguments that resulted from too much time with phones and media. When I started to help people who were facing digital addiction,  I realized there was a huge gap between people knowing that ‘screen time is a problem’ and knowing what to do about it.

This is a new problem for our generation! Our grandparents didn’t grow up with 24/7 access to media and “conversations.” Now, many people don’t know that this type of addiction is an actual diagnosis, and also that professional help is available and there is real help for healing.

My passion is helping people get back to “themselves.” For years I’ve helped people through coaching and counseling, speaking events, and podcast interviews.

Please reach out and let me know how I can help you too.
